Campers will be introduced to the basics of 3D Unity, a prominent video game engine used by industry professionals, to create their own 3D game. Campers will learn about rule-based systems and interactive narrative design, while exploring what it means to engage in meaningful play. By applying game mechanics and design principles, students will build their own immersive 3D game by importing assets, shaping terrain and environments, creating and modifying gameplay events, and applying scripts within the robust Unity platform.
